First of all, for basic information an abridged cv.
For something more substantial there is a much larger project, the memoir. For many months now I have been working on this, recently with the assistance of my friend Sandy Butler, who has devoted many hours interviewing me. A few chapters are already in draft form, and eventually I hope publish them here. But progress is very slow and I have yet to understand and circumvent the inner blocks that still hold me back.
However, I have been helped by the generosity of others, and different aspects of my life and work have been described in numerous books, articles and interviews. You can find many them by “googling” me. but I’ll mention a few here. The account of the visit of the Rabbis to the Dalai Lama, in which I participated, has been wonderfully documented by Rodger Kamenetz in his best-seller, The Jew in the Lotus, and he wrote an interesting follow-up volume, Stalking Elijah. Kristine McKenna published a very good wide-ranging interview in her Talk to Her (2004). It is reproduced here“>here with her permission.
